About PrinterSage

PrinterSage is an independent educational website that helps home users, students, families and small offices choose a printer, set it up, use it with confidence and keep it running well.

Why the site exists

Printers are everyday tools, yet buying one means decoding specifications, and owning one means dealing with drivers, Wi-Fi, ink and the occasional paper jam. Manuals are thorough but model-specific, and product pages are written to sell. PrinterSage explains the general ideas in plain English so you can make a sensible choice, follow your own printer’s instructions with confidence, and know when to contact the manufacturer.

What we cover

The guides follow the printer ownership journey in six sections:

We cover inkjet, laser, ink tank and all-in-one printers for homes, students, families and small offices. Each guide explains the terms it uses, gives clear steps or comparisons, and says when instructions vary by manufacturer, model or operating system.

What we are not

PrinterSage is not a printer manufacturer, retailer, repair company, manufacturer-approved service center, warranty provider or official support portal. Specifically, we:

  • do not sell printers, ink, toner or other supplies;
  • do not repair printers, take appointments or offer remote or phone support;
  • are not affiliated with, authorized by or partnered with HP, Canon, Epson, Brother, Lexmark, Xerox or any other manufacturer or retailer;
  • do not rank printers or make personalized recommendations.

For help with a specific device, warranty or recall, contact the manufacturer through the support section of its official website.

How the guides are made

Guides are written and reviewed by the PrinterSage Editorial Team. Drafts may be prepared with the help of AI writing tools, and every guide is checked and edited before publication. We don’t claim to have tested products. Model-specific facts, drivers and safety information point to the manufacturer’s or operating system’s own documentation. Our Editorial Policy explains the process in full.

How the site is funded

The site does not currently display advertising, use affiliate links or accept payment from manufacturers or retailers. We may promote the site through online advertising so more people can find the guides. If we ever add advertising or commercial relationships to the site itself, we will label them clearly, keep them separate from editorial decisions and update this page.
