Independent educational website

PrinterSage is an independent educational website that helps home users, students, families and small offices choose a printer, set it up, use it with confidence and keep it running well. We are not a printer manufacturer, retailer, repair company, manufacturer-approved service center, warranty provider or official support portal.

General information only

Our guides are general educational information. Printer features, menus, messages, supported Wi-Fi bands and connection methods, consumables and maintenance procedures vary by manufacturer, model and firmware, and Windows, macOS and mobile apps change over time. Guides are not a substitute for your printer’s manual or the manufacturer’s support.

Buying advice

Our buying guides explain trade-offs and how to compare printers; they are not personalized recommendations or rankings. We don’t publish prices, page yields or specifications for particular models. Check current specifications, running costs and compatibility on the manufacturer’s official product pages before you buy.

No affiliation or endorsement

We are not affiliated with, authorized by or endorsed by HP, Canon, Epson, Brother, Lexmark, Xerox or any other manufacturer, retailer or supplier named on the site. Names are used only to identify products. Links to official pages are provided for your convenience.

No repairs, support or guarantees

We do not repair printers, sell supplies or provide technical support, and we cannot guarantee that any step will solve your problem. If a guide doesn’t help, contact the manufacturer or a qualified technician.

Safety

Follow the manufacturer’s instructions and safety information. Turn the printer off and unplug it before reaching inside. Laser printers contain a fuser that becomes very hot; let the printer cool before clearing jams. Never open covers the manual doesn’t tell you to open, remove screws or panels, or bypass safety switches. Keep ink and toner away from children and pets, and avoid breathing toner dust. Stop using a printer that smokes, sparks, smells of burning or has a damaged power cord.

Software and security

Download drivers and apps only from the printer manufacturer, Windows Update or Apple. We never recommend turning off antivirus or firewall protection, and you should never share your passwords with anyone offering printer “support”.

Accuracy

We review guides before publishing and update them when we learn of changes. Each guide shows its published date, and an updated date when it has been revised. If you spot an error, please email support@printersage.com.
